<strong>Readed</strong>

Free men cannot start a war, but once it is started, they can fight on in defeat. Herd men, followers of a leader, cannot do that, and so it is always the herd men who win battles and the free men who win wars

I think that it is wonderful when any group can maintain those close ties to tradition and heritage. I have Cajun family members from South Louisiana who used to live similarly, with cooking, gatherings, and family the focus of their lives. I have watched those traditions fade as members of that branch of the family got too busy, and those traditions and family recipes are lost. It is good to know that there are good folks out there maintaining and valuing those ties to the past and keeping them fresh and alive in the present and for the future.
BTW, great job on this blog. You are to be commended for your efforts and your vision. Best regards, lynne in Texas

Wish I'd known about this sooner. I live near those areas and love that kind of cooking. Well, next year.
