It’s good, but still much to be done. The NGO will have lots of work on its hand for a long time I think, but the article raises an important issue. We’ve discussed at some point that some didn’t have the chance to meet with good magistrates or policemen, and were not helped in taking back their property.
How could we help them with that? Insure some kind of legal representation? Get in contact with people for them ? Insure some media channels to work with ? Or at the opposite, be as quiet as possible ?
I think this will be an important part of the NGO’s work…
    :):):) With you guys
    Take care

Lebanese are not Anti-Semitic (Lebanese are Semits too). They may be anti-Zionist, and the debate is still opened on Zionism and its consequences.
Anyway, any fraud won’t be tolerated, especially in civilized Lebanon, whatever the religion of the person is !

Actually, it’s become common practice for people to try and fraud some papers in order to get the “to3wid” from a few ministries… No matter the religion, when they see that the properties have been abandoned for years, they just look up the names and go on with the fraud to have the money…
The media talked about the story because the fraud happened on jewish property: First, it’s a rare scoop, and second, I don’t think that Shaoul Rabin Darvish (or anyone actually) is going to pass around the money the State owns him!
Still, we should invest in such stories and talk about them through society… the Bouche-à-oreille is still very very important to reach out to people!!
