The demolition of these historical building in Beirut is considered as a crime againt the human cultural heritage. I have cited important related issues in my group at facebook, which is called Maps. I hope many persons will join it in order to raise awareness regarding one of the oldest communities in Lebanon.

What happened to the lands surrounding the Magen Abraham synaguoge? These lands are several thousand square meters. It belongs to the WAKF of the Lebanese Jewish Community. It even includes a soccer field adjacent to the synaguoge, not to mention several buildings in the Solidaire area. All these worth many millions of dollars. Solidaire can spend a tiny portion of this money to renovate the synaguoge even if there is no more jews in Lebanon. The late prime minister Rafic Hariri have promised to do so. Copies of the deeds of ownweship of lands and buildings belonging to the Lebanese Community are safeguarded in New York. One day sooner or later there will be accountibility once Lebanon recovers from its ordeal.
